HighFlyer Explores Collaboration with Alibaba Cloud for Advanced AI Solutions

We are excited to share that our team at HighFlyer recently engaged in initial discussions with Alibaba Cloud and the developers of Tongyi Qianwen (Qwen), Alibaba’s advanced large language model family. Our conversations focused on exploring the potential of bringing this cutting-edge AI technology to Sri Lanka and New Zealand, with the goal of developing AI-driven decision-making solutions tailored to enterprise automation.

Dr. Pasan Thilakasiri (Principal Consultant - IT), Imesha Sudasingha (Head of Engineering), and Malintha Ranasinghe (Senior Software Engineer) represented HighFlyer in this engagement. Imesha and Malintha joined remotely from Sri Lanka and New Zealand, respectively. The meeting also included Mr. Lan Hanghang, Assistant Dean & Director (School of Science) from Westlake University and the Alibaba Cloud team, contributing their expertise in AI infrastructure and large-scale language models.

Exploring Advanced AI Capabilities

During our discussions, we explored the capabilities of Tongyi Qianwen, which has shown impressive performance across various benchmarks and real-world applications. The model family offers different sizes and specializations, making it adaptable to various business needs and computational constraints.

These initial discussions highlighted numerous possibilities for enterprises in Sri Lanka and New Zealand:
