HighFlyer Meets H.E. David Pine, High Commissioner of New Zealand to Sri Lanka

We are delighted to share that our Principal Consultant (IT), Dr Pasan Thilakasiri, had the privilege of meeting H.E. David Pine , the High Commissioner of New Zealand to Sri Lanka, during his visit to Auckland.

A Productive Meeting at SLBANZ

The meeting took place at the Sri Lankan Business Association in New Zealand (SLBANZ) gathering, where Pasan was representing both SLBANZ and the Trade, Government Relations, Tourism Promotion & Investment Facilitation Committee. The discussion provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen connections between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, particularly in the areas of trade, technology, and business collaboration.

Building Bridges Between Nations

The conversation covered various topics of mutual interest, focusing on opportunities for high-tech industry collaboration, higher education partnerships, and ways to facilitate stronger business relationships between the two countries. The discussion explored how both nations can move beyond their traditional primary industries—tea for Sri Lanka and dairy for New Zealand—to build new economic partnerships in technology, innovation, and knowledge exchange. These diplomatic and business connections are crucial for fostering international collaboration and creating pathways for innovation and growth.
